The Causeway Lake, a short 10 minute drive from the Yeppoon main street is a man-made feature, formed by the bridge that crosses Mulambin Creek. This picturesque water break allows fresh salt water in on the high tide making the area popular for fishing and the shallow water perfect for families and swimming.

Dig a little deeper, which we did, and a short walk through the dunes towards the ocean where the mountains meet the sand lies Mulambin beach. Rustic rock walls with natural caves carved over time by the wind and the sea create the most beautiful organic backdrop for an intimate ceremony. Throw in a sunset and some candles on the sand and boom. Insta-perfection.
